The DeKalb lacrosse season wrapped up with three losses in the opening round of the state playoffs on Tuesday.

Dunwoody was the lone boys’ entry in the Class 5A-6A state playoffs and fell 13-8 to Woodstock (11-5) in a first round road match at Woodstock. The Wildcats (8-10) were within 10-6 in the fourth quarter before Woodstock held off for the 13-8 victory.

In Class 5A-6A play, the Lakeside Lady Vikings (8-10-1) traveled to No. 2 ranked Creekview (16-2-0) on Tuesday and dropped a 21-2 decision. Lakeside was making a second consecutive playoff appearance.

The Druid Hills Lady Red Devils (4-10) finished up their season falling at McDonough (3-6) by a score of 13-5. Druid Hills was making its first-ever appearance in the state playoffs and got off to a slow start in the loss.
