The 2024 State Soccer Playoffs get underway beginning today with 14 DeKalb teams spread out over the next four days begin their quests for a championship.

Defending Class 5A girls’ state champion Chamblee (8-6-3) opens defense of its title as part of four girls’ teams in action today as the No. 10 ranked Lady Bulldogs host the Coffee Lady Trojans (7-9-1) in first round play. Chamblee despite missing some of its top players due to injuries put together another Region 4-5A title and host Coffee at North DeKalb Stadium at 6:00 pm tonight (Tuesday).

The Tucker Lady Tigers (11-7-1) go on the road as a No. 3 seed (4-5A) in Class 5A girls’ play with a trip to take on Statesboro (10-6-1), the No. 2 seed from Region 1-5A, in a 5:00 pm match.

In another Class 5A girls’ first round road contest, the Arabia Mountain Lady Rams (9-6-0) are the No. 4 seed and face No. 8 ranked and undefeated Greenbrier (14-0-0) at 6:00 pm.

The fourth game of the night has the Cedar Grove Lady Saints (1-9-1) travelling to No. 3 ranked Oconee County (12-1-4) in Class 3A girls’ play at 5:30 pm

The Class 5A and Class 3A boys open play on Wednesday led by Tucker (6-9-2) and Cross Keys (11-2-1) both hosting. The No. 1 seed Tigers face off with Coffee (7-10-1) at 5:00 pm at Adams Stadium while Cross Keys hosts Bradwell Institute (12-5-1) in a 6:00 pm contest at North DeKalb Stadium.

The Chamblee Bulldogs (7-9-1) go on the road as a No. 3 seed to face Statesboro (8-7-3) in a 7:00 pm match.

In Class 3A boys’ play, No. 2 seeded Cedar Grove (5-6) play host to Monroe Area (10-5-1) in a 6:00 pm contest at Godfrey Stadium.
