Three Chamblee Lady Bulldogs had two or more goals in a 10-0 rout of the Coffee Lady Trojans in the opening round of the Class 5A Girls’ State Soccer Playoffs at North DeKalb Stadium on Tuesday night.

Chamblee’s defense limited Coffee (7-10-1) to just two shots on goal (one in each half) while the Bulldogs’ offense was firing away with 39 shots on the way to the 10-0 victory.

Ansley Harrison put No. 10 ranked Chamblee on the board less than four minutes into the game as Cassidy Kuehne lifted a corner kick from the left side to just past the goal behind the keeper where Harrison headed it into the goal to make it 1-0 in favor of Chamblee.

Two and a half minutes later Kuehne got her own goal with a shot into the net to up the lead to 2-0 with 34 minutes remaining in the opening half.

Dorsey Richardson’s pass to an open spot in the Coffee defense found Addison Morris in an open lane for a run to one-on-one with keeper Olivia LaRiccia which Morris won to extend the advantage to 3-0 with 24:42 to go in the half.

Harrison got the second of her three goals in the game with an assist to herself as she shot high at the goal, hit the crossbar and followed up with a header into the net as the Coffee keeper and defenders could not find the ball. Chamblee stretched the lead to 4-0 with the goal at the 19:19 mark of the first half.

A hattrick came Harrison’s way less than a minute later (18:41) as she hit a long blast to the lower right corner to make it a 5-0 advantage.

Sara Bowzard assisted on the final goal of the first half passing to Cassidy Poole to send the Bulldogs (9-6-3) into the half up 6-0.

Coffee got off a soft shot at goal with 2:12 remaining in the first half for their only shot and Chamblee keeper Mary Entrekin easily fielded it to keep the shutout going.

It took just 5:06 into the second half for Chamblee to find the net gain with Sophia Hamilton knocking home a goal to make it 7-0.

Morris picked up her second goal of the game with 24:00 to play as she dribbled to the front of the goal and knocked a shot home in the far left corner to increase the lead to 8-0.

Juliet Herman closed out the game by the mercy rule as she scored back-to-back goals (21:21 and 17:53) to make the final of 10-0.

Chamblee moves on to the Sweet 16 to take on No. 6 ranked McIntosh (13-3-1) which defeated Union Grove (13-4-0) 4-0 to advance. Chamblee will host on Tuesday at North DeKalb with a time to be announced.
