Five DeKalb middle school football programs cruised to 3-0 marks during week three action this past weekend.

Quarterback Jace German threw for three touchdowns to lead the Tucker Tigers to a 48-0 win over the Chamblee Bulldogs and a 3-0 mark after three weeks of DeKalb County middle school football action.

German connected with Joziah Horne for two touchdowns and Tizazu Jekamo for another. Running back Christian Copeland added a pair of touchdowns on the ground and added an interception in the defensive shutout.

Linebacker Maverick Armour has a scoop and score on a fumble and Devin Swaby recovered a fumble for a touchdown on a kickoff play.

Tucker is one of five middle school programs sitting at 3-0 halfway through their seasons.

Cedar Grove 40, Columbia 0
Cedar Grove got three touchdowns and four two-point conversions from quarterback King Parrom on the way to a third consecutive shutout in its 40-0 victory over Columbia.

Parrom ran for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground and connected with Jaylen Thomas on a 65-yard touchdown pass. Xselynce Austin had a 50-yard pick-six for the Saints (3-0) defense. The win was the first division victory on the year for the Saints.

Columbia (1-2) got good defensive efforts from Nolan Donahue and Jaiden Bethea as the pair led the team in tackles.

Stephenson 46, Miller Grove 0
The Stephenson Jaguars upped their record to 3-0 on the season knocking off region foe Miller Grove (1-2) 46-0 in both teams’ first region contest.

A pair of early turnovers hampered the start for Stephenson before the Jaguars’ defense made a big goal-line stop that got things going in the right direction. Gavin Kinchen scored on 95-yard and 17-yard runs to open the flood gates on the way to a 163-yard day.

Lights out play by the defense including Kwame KJ Green and Eli Harris. Jordan Christie led all scorers with a pick-six (42 yards) and two punt returns of 40 and 37 yards for scores. Harris caused a fumble that turned into a scoop and score from 25-yards out by Terrence Deuce Woodfin. Ja’Mare JT Tolliver had three-two-point conversions to go with one each by Harris and Badesire Lubala.

Lithonia 48, Henderson 0
Devis Dean started the game off with a 73-yard kickoff return for a score as the Lithonia Bulldogs improved to 3-0 on the season with a 48-0 shutout of the Henderson Cougars (1-2).

Dean would add two more rushing touchdowns in the game. Armani Myco accounted for four touchdowns in the game passing twice to Anthony Flournoy and once to Demetrius Hardy for scores. Myco then added a punt return for a score. The defense’s shutout was keyed by a host of Bulldogs with tackles for a loss in the game.

Chapel Hill 20, Redan 6
The Chapel Hill Panthers upped their record to 2-0 on the season with a 20-6 victory over the Redan Raiders (0-2) behind three rushing touchdowns.

TyShawn Kirkwood ran for 90 yards in the game with one touchdown and one two-point conversion to lead the way. Braylan Carter and William Bryant added the other touchdown runs.

Redan got 110 yards rushing and a touchdown from Fredrick Johnson.

Bethune 18, McNair 0
The Bethune Lions got into the win column for the first time this season taking down the McNair Mustangs (0-3) 18-0 in a Region 4 matchup.

Rashaad Silver and Tylar Wooten each contributed a rushing touchdown in the game for the Lions (1-1-1) and L’Markus Scott returned a punt for another score. Davion Mullins was the leading tackler on defense for Bethune.

Champion 22, Freedom 0
Alex Chambliss rushed for over 100 yards and a touchdown to lead the Champion Chargers (1-2) to a 22-0 victory over the Freedom Rams (1-2).

Chase Livsey and Jacory Ruffin also added rushing touchdowns for the Chargers. Courtney Baskerville caused a fumble on defense.

Stone Mountain 34, Druid Hills 0
The Stone Mountain Pirates got over 200 yards passing and three touchdowns passes from quarterback Braydon Surpisse on the way to a 34-0 win over the Druid Hills Dragons (0-3).

Surprisse spread the touchdown passes around by connecting with three different receivers for scores and added two more touchdowns while rushing for 50 yards. The Pirates special teams unit blocked a punt and forced a fumble on a kickoff to shine as well.
