Nine DeKalb County schools are sending a combined 14 teams to their respective GHSA State Soccer Playoffs with girls first round action in Class 7A, 5A and 3A kick starting the week on Tuesday (April 20).

Two girls state playoff games are set for North DeKalb Stadium in a doubleheader on Tuesday night. The Dunwoody Lady Wildcats (13-5-0) host as the Region 7-7A co-champs as Forsyth Central (9-6-1), the Region 6-7A No. 4 seed, comes in for a 5:30 pm start in the opener.

The No. 6 ranked and Region 5-5A No. 2 seeded Chamblee Lady Bulldogs (9-4-0) follow in the nightcap with a matchup against Jackson County (8-6-1) at 7:30 pm.

The Redan Lady Raiders (4-4-0) go on the road as the Region 5-3A No. 4 seed to take on No. 2 ranked Oconee County (12-2-0) in a 6:00 pm Class 3A girls meeting.

Class 7A, Class 5A and Class 3A teams take to the pitch on Wednesday as three DeKalb boys teams head off for road playoff games.

A Top 10 matchup in Class 5A tops the list as No. 9 Cross Keys (10-4-0) travels to Athens to take on No. 6 Clarke Central (11-4-1). A time has not yet been announced for the game.

In Class 7A Dunwoody (9-7-2) goes to No. 4 ranked Forsyth Central (12-4-0) for a 7:00 pm match. Dunwoody qualified for the state playoffs as the No. 4 seed by winning a thrilling 4-2 penalty kick victory against Archer in the final regular season game.

The final game on Wednesday has Cedar Grove (8-3-0) going on the road to No. 3 Oconee County (11-2-2) for a 7:30 pm battle in Class 3A boys action.

Five first round state playoff games involving DeKalb schools are set for Thursday including a big doubleheader at Adams Stadium in Class 6A and Class 4A girls play.

The opener has the Region 4-6A champions Lakeside Lady Vikings (10-6-0) hosting Northside-Warner Robins (4-12-0) at 5:30 pm. In the nightcap, Region 6-4A runner-ups Druid Hills Lady Red Devils (8-8-1) host No. 10 Southeast Whitfield (9-6-0) at 7:30 pm in a rematch of a regular season meeting won 3-0 by Druid Hills.

A road trip to Lee County is on tap for the Tucker Tigers and Lady Tigers as the two Region 4-6A No. 3 seeds take on the Region 1 No. 2 seeds from Lee County in a doubleheader. The Lady Tigers (8-10-0) face off against 10-2-0 Lee County at 5:00 pm with the Tigers (8-9-0) facing Lee County (5-5-3) at 7:00 pm.

Heritage-Ringgold (12-4-0) hosts the Arabia Mountain Lady Rams (6-8-0) in a 5:30 pm game to wrap up action on Thursday.

Friday’s action features three DeKalb teams playing including another Adams Stadium doubleheader involving Class 6A Lakeside and Class 4A Druid Hills.

No. 9 ranked Lakeside (14-2-1) plays host to Houston County (5-8-2) in a first round Class 6A boys tilt at 6:00 pm to open the doubleheader at Adams. No. 10 Druid Hills (8-9-1) follows at 8:00 pm facing off with Pickens County (11-4-0).

The Arabia Mountain Rams (3-10-1) round out the first round with a trip to No. 1 ranked Southeast Whitfield (12-0-3) with kickoff set for 6:00 pm
