The GHSA high school lacrosse state playoffs begin today (Tuesday) with three DeKalb squads go on the road vying to advance to the second round.

The first team up today is the Lakeside Lady Vikings (8-9-1) who travel to Creekview (15-2-0) for a 5:30 pm Class 5A-6A girls’ state playoff match. Lakeside was the No. 4 seed out of their region and in the state playoffs for a second consecutive season.

Druid Hills is making its first appearance in the state playoffs as the Lady Red Devils (4-9) go on the road to face McDonough (2-6) at 6:00 pm in Class 1A-4A girls’ play.

The Dunwoody Wildcats (8-9) head up to Woodstock (10-5) for their first round matchup at 7:30 pm. The Wildcats are making their six playoff appearance in the past seven seasons.
