The GHSA state softball playoffs Super Regional schedule has all seven DeKalb teams with road trips in the first round of the playoffs that start today (Monday, Oct. 16).

DeKalb has three teams headed to the Class 5A Super Regionals a three different sites led by Region 4-5A runner-up Chamblee (21-3-1) headed to Northside in Columbus for its regional.

The Lady Bulldogs were the No. 2 seed and take on No. 3 seed Statesboro (14-8-1) at 5:00 pm to begin the double elimination tournament. Two or three games could be possible on Tuesday. Northside (22-7) meets Jones County (11-15) in the other first round game.

No. 3 seed Arabia Mountain (7-9) hits the road to Ola to face Ware County (8-12) in a 2:30 pm game today. The Lady Rams would play at 5:00 pm with a loss and at 7:30 pm with a win. If they move forward in the bracket play would resume on Tuesday. Host Ola (23-2) hosts No. 4 seed McIntosh (11-13) at 12:00 pm.

Lithonia (8-10) earned the No. 4 seed in 4-5A and goes on the road to face No. 1 seed Greenbrier (18-10) at 12:00 pm. Union Grove (17-7) and Northgate (15-10) play at 2:30 pm to round out the Super Region first round.

Cedar Grove picked up the No. 2 seed in Region 5-3A and heads to Wesleyan today to take on Franklin County at 2:00 pm. Wesleyan, the No. 1 seed, hosts Coahulla Creek in the 12:00 pm opening game.

All teams advancing to the third round of the regionals play on Tuesday until eliminated.

Classes 4A and 2A Super Regional play begins on Wednesday (Oct. 18) with Southwest DeKalb (9-10) having the closest trip on the day heading to Lovett as the No. 3 seed out of Region 6-4A. Southwest DeKalb takes on Sonoraville (20-8) at 2:45 pm. The opening game features Lovett (14-9) hosting North Hall (18-7) at 12:30 pm.

In other Class 4A action, Miller Grove (13-5), the No. 4 seed out of 6-4A goes on the road to Ringgold to take on No. 1 seed and host Heritage-Catoosa (22-2-1) in a 2:0 pm first round game. East Forsyth (18-11) and Hampton (10-12-1) face off in the 12:00 pm opening game.

Redan (7-6), the No. 4 seed from Region 5-2A, heads to Banks County to take on the host at 1:00 pm on Wednesday to open their Class 2A Super Regional. Haralson County (14-9-1) takes on Walker (12-7) in the 3:00 pm game.

All teams advancing to the third round of the regionals play on Thursday until eliminated.
