Fourteen former DeKalb football players made NFL teams this fall and 10 showed up in the statistics of Week 1 action with several having an impact in their games.

Former Arabia Mountain Ram Jakobi Myers had a big day for the Las Vegas Raiders in a 17-16 win against the Denver Broncos. Myers caught eight passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns in helping the Raiders to the victory.

A pair of former DeKalb players aided a 38-20 Green Packers win over of the Chicago Bears from the defensive side of the ball. Former Towers Titan Devonte Wyatt had 3 tackles including 1.5 sacks and former Stephenson Jaguar Preston Smith had 5 tackles in the win.

Former Tucker Tiger Jonathan Ledbetter (DL) put together six total tackles and a sack in the Arizona Cardinals 20-16 loss to the Washington Commanders. Defensive lineman out of Stephenson, Montez Sweet (5 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 2 fumbles forced), led the Commanders defense while former McNair standout Christian Holmes (DB) had one tackle in limited action for the Commanders.

Defensive back Kevin Byard, former M.L. King Lion, continues his good play for the Tennessee Titans as he collected 8 total tackles (5 solo) in a 16-15 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Linebacker D.J. Wonnum, another Stephenson product, has picked up 8 total tackles in two games (4 in eac) for Minnesota, both losses.

Tight end Gerald Everett (Columbia) had two receptions for 21 yards in the Los Angelos Chargers tough 36-34 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Offensive tackle Broderick Jones (Lithonia) got some action in his first game as a rookie for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
