Eight teams moved to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in region play as schools headed into Thanksgiving break.

The Redan Raiders is one of eight middle school programs (4 boys, 4 girls) to reach three wins on the season as teams prepare for Wednesday’s games coming out of Thanksgiving break.

Redan (3-0, 2-0) went into the break with a 63-31 win over the Columbia Eagles (0-2, 0-1). Amare Medhin hit for a game-high 21 points to lead the way for Redan while Tristan Mitchell added 16 points and 6 assists and Jyi’Shawn Duffie contributing 10 points.

Columbia Nolan Donahue hit for 13 points to lead the Eagles.

Champion 55, Peachtree 17
The Champion Chargers (3-0, 2-0) continue to play pressure defense and its tough play led to a 55-17 win over the Peachtree Patriots (1-2, 1-1). Jackson Ushery hit for 17 points to lead all scorers.

Druid Hills 49, Miller Grove 34
Druid Hills (3-0, 2-0) kept pace with Redan in Region 1 play remaining undefeated with a 49-34 win over the Miller Grove Wolverines (0-2, 0-1). Stone Richards scored 21 points to lead the Red Devils in the win.

Salem 55, Sequoyah 12
Salem (3-0, 2-0) kept pace with Champion atop the Region 2 standings with a 55-12 win over the Sequoyah Braves (0-2, 0-1).

Cedar Grove 29, Tucker 23
Josiah Street and Isaiah Cosby combined for 16 points to lead the Cedar Grove Saints (2-1, 1-1) to a 29-23 win over the Tucker Tigers (0-2, 0-1).

Lithonia 51, Chamblee 43
The Chamblee Bulldogs (0-2, 0-1) dropped a tough 51-43 Region 1 decision to the Lithonia Bulldogs (2-1, 1-1) in Region 2 play. Dante Cutillo hit for 17 points and Eston McDown added 10 points and 4 assists. Chamblee used a 9-1 run to open the second half to rally from a 31-11 deficit.

Chapel Hill 55, Freedom 25
Sixth grader Just Taylor led the Chapel Hill Panthers (1-1, 1-0) to the 55-25 win over the Freedom Rams. Taylor hit for 14 points as the top scorer in the game.

Stephenson 55, Stone Mountain 18
The Stephenson Jaguars (2-1, 1-1) gave the Stone Mountain Pirates (1-1, 0-1) their first loss of the season with a 55-18 performance. Every Jaguar on the team scored in the game.

GIRLS RECAPS
Four girls’ teams also improved to 3-0 on the season led by the Stephenson Lady Jaguars (3-0, 2-0) convincing 44-14 victory over the Stone Mountain Lady Pirates (1-1, 0-1) in Region 1 action.

Cyncere Sims-Turner hit for 13 points and added 5 steals for Stephenson. Jayla Walton contributed 8 points and 6 steals.

Druid Hills 40, Miller Grove 8
The Druid Hills Lady Dragons (3-0, 2-0) upped their mark to 3-0 on the season with a 40-8 win over the Miller Grove Lady Wolverines (0-2, 0-1). Druid Hills kept pace with Stephenson atop the Region 1 standings.

Champion 58, Peachtree 4
The Champion Lady Chargers hit double figures in a 58-4 Region 2 win over the Peachtree Lady Patriots (1-2, 1-1). Lailah Cox had 12 points, Charmaine Owens hit for 10 points along with 8 steals and 5 assists and Sanaa Stanton added 10 points for Champion (3-0, 2-0).

Salem 51, Sequoyah 2
The Salem Lady Lions (3-0, 2-0) remain tied with Champion atop the Region 2 standings following a 51-2 win over Sequoyah (0-2, 0-1).

Cedar Grove 33, Tucker 12
The Cedar Grove Lady Saints (2-1, 1-1) knocked off the Tucker Lady Tigers (0-2, 0-1) 33-12 to even their Region 2 record. Imani Coleman hit for 11 points (5 steals, 5 rebounds) and Faith Andrews added 9 points (4 steals, 2 rebounds).

Chamblee 41, Lithonia 1
Chamblee (2-0, 1-0) remained undefeated with a 41-1 victory over the Lithonia Lady Bulldogs (0-3, 0-2). Kyndal Hardaway hit for a game-high 24 points to lead Chamblee while teammate Sara Adekunle added 11 points.

Redan 45, Columbia 28
Aubri Brooks scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Redan Lady Raiders (2-1, 1-0) to a 45-28 win over the Columbia Lady Eagles (1-1, 0-1). Koryonia Magee hit for 9 points and temmates Saniya Gist and Londyn Richardson scored 8 apiece for Redan.
