Three teams posted 3-0 records and a fourth also posted an undefeated mark to highlight local results from the fourth week of the regular season.

Surging Redan won three Region 6AAAA contests by a combined margin of 31-3. Coach Patrick Wright’s Raiders knocked off Arabia Mountain (6-0) March 7 and (11-1) March 9 before rolling past Lithonia (14-3) March 11 to improve to 5-2 overall on the year.

Coach Tyrus Taylor’s Southwest DeKalb Panthers (7-2) remained one of the most improved teams in the county with a 3-0 week that included dominating victories over McNair (20-7) March 7, Martin Luther King Jr. (10-3) March 9 and Banneker (12-1) March 11.

Coach Vince Byams and the Tucker Tigers ran their winning streak to four in a row with impressive triumphs over Stephenson (6-2) March 7, Dutchtown (15-2) March 10 and GAC (5-3) March 11, improving to 5-4 overall on the season.

Coach Lavato Byrd’s Cedar Grove Saints rounded out the list of undefeated squads, besting Towers (4-2) March 9 to move to 3-1 overall for the year.

Junior Tevias Lott likewise came up big on two fronts for Cedar Grove in a 4-3 victory over Towers March 9, going 2-2 with two runs scored and two stolen bases at the plate and striking out nine and allowing two hits and no earned runs over five innings as the winning pitcher.

Senior Kaine Smith turned in a super overall outing for Miller Grove in a 10-6 triumph over Carver March 9. Smith went 4-4 with three runs scored, two doubles, one triple and two stolen bases on the offensive end and also picked up the pitching decision with 12 strikeouts and only one earned run allowed over 5 2/3 innings.

Juniors Eddie Winfrey (3-4; 2 RBI; 2 2B) and Daniel Harris (2-4; 3 RS; 3 RBI; 2 SB) also shined offensively for the Wolverines in the contest.

Juniors Michael Williams (3 IP; 4 SO; 1 HA; WP) and Aquan Foster (2 IP; 2 SO) helped Stone Mountain blank Cross Keys by a 7-0 count March 7. Foster also led the way offensively with a 2-3 outing that included two stolen bases and one run scored.

Stone Mountain came back two days later to best Cross Keys by a 17-2 margin March 9. Juniors Titus Norwood (3-3; 3 RS; 2 RBI; 2 SB) and Roderick Hudson (2-2; 3 RS) and freshman Jacorrie Knolton (2-3; 2 RS) delivered on the offensive end for the Pirates in that contest.
