The Chamblee Bulldogs scored 10 first-half goals on the way to a 16-5 non-area high school lacrosse victor over the Druid Hills Red Devils on Wednesday night at Adams Stadium.

Chamblee (4-6) scored five goals in the first quarter and led 5-1 at one point over the Red Devils (2-2). John Persichetti and Patrick Feaster had back-to-back goals twice in the first eight minutes and Jacob Hawkins added another as Chamblee jumped to the 5-1 advantage. Druid Hills’ Myles Garber broke up the Chamblee scoring for his team’s only goal in the first eight minutes of the game.

Druid Hills got a back-to-back performance from Ari Copeland who got inside the Bulldogs’ defense twice in the final 1:52 of the opening quarter to close the gap to 5-3.

Just 46 seconds into the second quarter Feaster got his hattrick completed as Persichetti found him in front of the goal to make it 6-3 in favor of the Bulldogs. Persichetti made it two hattricks two minutes later as he found the net crossing in front to make it 7-3.

Feaster picked up a fourth goal with 6:40 left in the half as he received a pass from Persichetti in front of the goal and dumped a shot over the keeper to p the lead to 8-3. Jacob Hawkins stretched the advantage to six (9-3) with his second goal of the half at the 4:24 mark.

Copeland got loose behind the Bulldog’s defense again to make it a 9-4 deficit with 3:39 remaining in the half.

Chamblee’s Hawkins made it three Bulldogs with a hattrick with just 28 seconds to play in the half to send Chamblee into the break up 10-4.

The third quarter was slower paced with just three goals, all by Chamblee, featuring the fourth goals for both Persichetti (9:46) and Hawkins (2:32). Patrick Murphy gave Chamblee a 13-4 advantage with one quarter to play.

Copeland scored his fourth goal of the night to score the Wildcats’ final goal of the night just 50 seconds into the fourth quarter.

Colton Kimsey (8:06), Jaime Garcia (3:13) and Evan Hackenmyer (0:25) each had a goal to finish out the 16-5 win for Chamblee.
