For the second consecutive season the Redan Lady Raiders were the only DeKalb flag football squad to reach the second round of the Division 1 state playoffs following a 34-0 win over Lagrange in the opening round on Tuesday.

Quarterback Londyn Felder had a spectacular performance in the win over Lagrange. Felder hit 20 of 28 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns while also piling up 135 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. She also converted to PATs for Redan (15-2).

Jasmian Merrick was the beneficiary of eight passes from Felder compiling up 85 yards and three touchdowns. Legend Williams caught five passes for 60 yards and caught two for PATs. Anna Williams caught three passes for 50 yards and tight end Reniyah Millers added four catches for 35 yards.

Redan did not fare as well in the second round against host Pace Academy (19-2) as they dropped a 31-0 decision to fall out of the playoffs.

In other Division 1 play, Towers (13-8) was shutout 33-0 by host Harris County (14-2) in the opening round.

DIVISION 2 PLAYOFFS
The Tucker Lady Tigers lost another playoff heartbreaker as Lakeside-Evans scored with under two minutes to play to win a 14-7 decision in the first round of the Division 2 state playoffs on Tuesday.

Maliyah Davis raced 56-yards for a touchdown early in the game and Amala Lindquist converted the extra point to give Tucker (10-3) a 7-0 lead.

The score was still 7-0 when Lakeside-Evans (17-7) to on the board via the pass. Lakeside added the extra point to knot the game at 7-7.

After swapping possessions Tucker’s Tailan Jacobs intercepted a Lakeside pass and returned it 12 yards to give Tucker an opportunity to take the lead. Lakeside turned the tables with an interception of its own to take possession late in the fourth quarter.

The Lakeside quarterback eluded a big rush by Tucker and got a long pass away that was completed for a touchdown to give Lakeside the lead with less than two minutes to play. Tucker was unable to move the ball and Lakeside held on for the win.

In other Division 2 playoff action, the Miller Grove Lady Wolverines (8-6) had their season come to an end with a 39-0 loss to Greenbrier (15-1).
