Chapel Hill basketball teams remain undefeated along with Champion and Stephenson girls.

The Chapel Hill Panthers are the last remaining undefeated boys’ middle school basketball team at 4-0 after resuming action on Wednesday following the Thanksgiving break.

Chapel Hill had 10 different players score in the 49-32 win over Beacon Hill (2-2). Jacob Reid put together an outstanding game with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocked shots to lead the way. Kei-Sean Roberts added 7 points, 5 assists and 3 steals in the win.

The Bulldogs were led by Matthew Norman with 11 points while Kellen Yeager and Michael Cook chipped in 6 points each.

Stephenson 48, Cedar Grove 21
The Stephenson Jaguars (3-1) knocked the Cedar Grove Saints (3-1) out of the ranks of the undefeated with a 48-21 victory on Wednesday. Isaac Prince led the way with 11 points and Kai Jackson added 10 points (2 three-pointers) for the Jaguars. Cedar Grove got 9 points and 7 rebounds from Tayson Blunt and Jake Morton pulled down 6 rebounds.

Tucker 41, Freedom 24
The Tucker Tigers (3-1) had a pair of players in double figures on the way to a 41-24 win over the Freedom Rams (1-3) on Wednesday night. Sterling Pritchett hit for 14 points and added 5 steals and 4 assists for the Tigers. Vance Wilder added 13 points and 4 steals for Tucker. Freedom picked up 6 points, 10 rebounds and 5 steals by Marquez Roundtree while Jonoxe Claxton contributed 6 points and 7 rebounds.

Redan 55, Peachtree 24
Three Raiders hit in double figures as Redan (3-1) knocked off the Peachtree Patriots (1-3) 55-24 on Wednesday. Keyshawn Biggs topped the list with 16 points (3 assists), Amare Medhin 15 points (2 rebounds, 6 steals) and Brandon Armstrong 12 points (2 assists) as the Raiders went over the 50-point mark. Zaheim Silver added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals for Redan.

Bethune 47, Sequoyah 7
Andrew Turner put together a double-double as one of two players in double figures in a 47-7 win by the Bethune Lions (2-2) over the Sequoyah Braves (0-4). Turner put up 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Lions and De’Quarrion Trammell had a game-high 12 points and grabbed 8 steals.

Champion 63, Columbia 16
The Champion Chargers (3-1) used a smothering full court press to defeat the Columbia Eagles (0-4) 63-16 after the Thanksgiving break. Jordon Anderson and Dakota Freeman paved the way for Champion as the pair hit for 13 points apiece in the win.

Druid Hills 71, Salem 35
A 25-point performance by Clay Humphries capped a 71-35 win by the Druid Hills Dragons (3-1) over the Salem Lions (0-4). Tobias Bell came up just short of 20 points for the Dragons as he tossed in 18 points in the victory.

Henderson 53, McNair 22
The Henderson Cougars (1-3) picked up their first victory of the season on Wednesday as they upended the McNair Mustangs (2-2) by a score of 53-22. Ashdon Sims scored 16 points as the top scorer on the night and Joshua Mosley added 14 to get into double figures. Cougar teammate Julian Russell grabbed 14 rebounds to go with 7 points, 4 blocked shots and 2 steals.

Lithonia 33, Miller Grove 31
The Lithonia Bulldogs evened their record at 2-2 in a thrilling 33-31 win over the Miller Grove Wolverines (2-2). Jordan Washington topped the scoring for Lithonia with 9 points (4 rebounds) while Anthony Flournoy added 6 points (6 rebounds) and Kameron Alexander’s late 6-point run. Thaddeus Coleman pulled down 12 rebounds and Brandon Jones picked up 6 steals.

Stone Mountain 55, Chamblee 51
Stone Mountain (3-1) picked up the Pirates third win of the season as they pulled out a 55-51 win over the Chamblee Bulldogs (2-2). Stephen Smarte was a force on defense with some key steals and aggressive on offense to play a role in the Pirates win.

GIRLS RECAPS
The Chapel Hill Lady Panthers joined their male counterparts at 4-0 along with the Champion Lady Chargers (4-0) and the Stephenson Lady Jaguars (4-0) with wins coming out of the Thanksgiving break.

A big double-double performance from Avantey Gilreath fueled the Lady Panthers in a 37-11 win over the Beacon Hill Lady Bulldogs (2-2). Gilreath hit for a game-high 22 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to lead her team in the win. Lydia Robillard had 6 points to lead Beacon Hill.

Champion 52, Columbia 27
Three players hit for double figures as the defending champion Lady Chargers (4-0) rolled to a 52-27 win over the Columbia Eagles (2-2) to keep their undefeated mark intact. Essence Grier hit for a game-high 15 points and was joined in double figures by Kamya River-Childs with 10 points (6 steals) and Jalaina Alford added a 10-point, 12-rebound double-double. Lailah Cox grabbed 9 rebounds to go with 6 steals and 3 points and Brooklyn Smith added 6 points.

Stephenson 39, Cedar Grove 26
A pair of Stephenson Lady Jaguars (4-0) hit in double figures as they got past the previously undefeated Cedar Grove Lady Saints (3-1) 39-26 in the first game back from the break. Cyncere Sims-Turner hit for 13 points to lead Stephenson and Jayla Walton knocked down 10 points. Faith Fuller hit for 8 more for Stephenson. Conner Hall led Cedar Grove with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals.

Freedom 45, Tucker 10
The Freedom Lady Rams (2-2) moved to .500 on the season behind a big performance from Grace Kasongo on the way to a 45-10 win over the Tucker Lady Tigers (2-2). Kasongo collected 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 steals to lead the Tigers. Destiny Swint played well with 15 points, 8 assists and 3 steals while Ayana Miller contributed 6 points and 10 rebounds.

Redan 19, Peachtree 18
The Redan Lady Raiders (2-2) squeaked past the Peachtree Lady Patriots (0-4) 19-18 to move to .500 on the season. Redan had a balanced attack to pull out the win. Kai Gyles led Peachtree with 6 points.

Chamblee 40, Stone Mountain 4
The Chamblee Lady Bulldogs evened their record at 2-2 on the season with a 40-4 win over the Stone Mountain Lady Pirates (0-4). Madison Jones scored a game-high 12 points to pace the Bulldogs in the victory.

Salem 40, Druid Hills 36
The Salem Lady Lions improve to 3-1 on the season via a tough 40-26 win over the Druid Hills Lady Dragons (3-1) to give Druid Hills its first loss on the season. Faith Andrews led the pack with 14 points for Salem while Londyn Richardson had 12 and DeDe Spaulding added 10 Rebounds & 9 points.

McNair 20, Henderson 8
The McNair Lady Mustangs (2-2) evened their season record with a 20-8 win over the Henderson Lady Cougars (0-4). No player stats were submitted for this game.

Bethune 44, Sequoyah 14
The Bethune Lady Lions (3-1) picked up their third win of the season with a 44-14 win over the Sequoyah Lady Braves (1-3). Ashley Perez had 6 points to lead Sequoyah.
