The Class 3A No. 1 ranked Cedar Grove Saints play a fourth consecutive higher classification team to start the season as Class 7A Collins Hills Eagles travel to “Buck” Godfrey Stadium at 7:30 pm on Friday.

Cedar Grove (1-2) won last year’s matchup 40-7 at Collins Hill (1-1) but the Eagles will be under the direction of new coach Drew Swick. Collins Hill is coming off a big 31-17 win over Gwinnett County rival Brookwood last week.

The Saints are coming off heartbreaking close losses to Monarch (FL) 50-42 and Class 7A No. 7 ranked Westlake 46-42 and are looking to get back on track.

Games in DeKalb get underway on Thursday (today) with four games on the slate at DeKalb stadiums including an all-DeKalb matchup between Cross Keys (0-3) and Clarkston (0-2) at Hallford Stadium at 7:00 pm. Both teams are looking for their first win of the season.

Adams Stadium plays host a matchup of undefeated teams with Lakeside (3-0) hosting Osborne (2-0) with a 7:00 pm kickoff. Miller Grove (2-1) entertains Campbell (2-1) in a 7:00 pm kickoff at Godfrey Stadium between a pair of two-win teams.
