The Chamblee Lady Bulldogs qualifed for the Class 5A Girls' State Golf Tournament with a fourth place finish at the Class 5A Girls' State Sectional earlier this week. The Chamblee Lady Bulldogs qualifed for the Class 5A Girls’ State Golf Tournament with a fourth place finish at the Class 5A Girls’ State Sectional earlier this week. After finishing fourth in the Area 3-5A Tournament in April, the Chamblee Lady Bulldogs golf team headed to the Class 5A Girls Sectional in Cartersville this week and qualified for the Class 5A Girls’ State Tournament.

Led by a pair of Top 15 finishes the Lady Bulldogs shot a 320-team total to edge out Wayne County (321) and Greenbrier (322) for the final slot in the state tournament.

Olivia Li led the way finishing seventh in the individual standings with her 97 and sister Sophia Li coming in at No. 11 with a score of 101. Julia Mansour put up a 122 to tie for 23rd and seal the state tournament berth for Chamblee.

Deeksha Khaana was in a tie for 27th with a 124 and Trinity Walls shot a 129 to finish 30th.

Chamblee finished fourth behind Greenbier by 11 strokes at the Area Tournament.

The Lady Bulldogs hit the road to Blackshear to play in the Class 5A Girls’ State Tournament on May 16-17 at the Okefenokee Country Club.

CLASS 7A BOYS SECTIONAL
The Dunwoody Wildcats came up short of qualifying for the Class 7A Boys’ State Tournament as they finished fifth in the Class 7A Boys’ Sectional Tournament at Valdosta with a team total of 321.

Braedon Rice led the way for the Wildcats once again with team best 75 on the day. Ross Ackaway followed with a 76 along with Caden Smith (83), Josh Dwoskin (87) and Bradley Stone (88).
