The Dunwoody Wildcats open the 2021 GHSA Lacrosse State Playoffs on Wednesday with a trip to No. 5 ranked Harrison at 7:30 pm.

Dunwoody (12-5) finished the season as the No. 4 seed in Area 2-6A/7A defeating Alpharetta 14-5 to clinch the final playoff berth out of the Area.

The Wildcats are making a fourth consecutive appearance in the state playoffs. Dunwoody made history as the first DeKalb boys’ lacrosse team to reach the state playoffs in 2017. Coach Mike Nash’s squad became the first DeKalb team to win a playoff game with its 2019 win over Harrison, the team they play in Wednesday’s opening round.

Harrison (11-5) comes into the 2021 state playoffs as the No. 1 seed out of Area 3-6A/7A.
