The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) announced its new Executive Leadership Series (ELS) in January 2022. This series is designed to develop and support building and central office leaders on an ongoing basis through job-embedded learning. ELS will focus on providing a cadre of leadership-focused professional learning opportunities that allow participants to network with their peers, learn from premier internal and external facilitators, and get hands-on solutions to today’s vital educational issues.
Aligned with Strategic Plan Goal Area 3 Staff Effectiveness to ensure recruiting, retaining, and developing highly qualified leaders, the goals of ELS include the following:
- Create leadership-focused professional learning opportunities for building and central office leaders that will build capacity for advancing culturally responsive/equitable practices throughout the district
- Provide a vehicle to identify, strategize and conduct cohort structured action research relative to a District’s academic need
