The DeKalb Regional Science & Engineering Fair (DRSEF) is a districtwide competition, which allows students in grades 3rd-12th to compete in 21 science & engineering categories. The primary purpose of this fair is to stimulate student interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Through the fair, students collaborate with like-minded peers and have an opportunity to advance and compete for awards in the local, regional, state, and international fair.

DRSEF set-up will be held February 2-3, 2024 for Novice division.
Setup & Competition for Novice Division: February 2, 2024 from 4:00 p.m.- 6:30p.m.
Setup for Junior & Senior Division: Friday, February 3, 2024 from 4:00p.m.- 7:00p.m.
Junior & Senior Division Competition: Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 8:00a.m.-12:00p.m.

Students in grades 6-12 must participate in a local school fair and DeKalb Regional Science & Engineering Fair to compete at the state and international level.
Georgia Science & Engineering Fair
The 76th Georgia Science & Engineering Fair will be held April 11-13, 2024 at The Classic Center in downtown Athens, Georgia. Researchers in grades 6-12 may qualify for GSEF by advancing from a school level fair to one of the GSEF-Affiliated Regional Fairs across the state, where they may be selected to compete in Athens this spring.
The Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair takes place May 11th – 17th, 2024 – Los Angeles, California.
