DeKalb County School District’s Communications Department Wins Communicator Award

DeKalb County School District’s (DCSD) Communications Department was a winner in the 27th Annual Communicator Awards, the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts announced May 4. The department won the Award of Excellence for Corporate Communications-Annual Report for its work on Superintendent Cheryl Watson-Harris’s 100-Day Report. The purpose of the report was to highlight identified strengths, opportunities, and legacy commitments-all in line with DCSD’s strategic plan goals.

“It is an outstanding win for our Communications team and the district. We are grateful for the recognition of our hard work and to be honored among other esteemed organizations,” said Superintendent Cheryl Watson-Harris.

With over 6,000 entries received from across the US and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals.
