Welcome Back for Another Great School Year!
The School Nutrition program promotes a lifetime of wellness by serving meals that are of high quality, nutritious, enjoyable, and economical. We serve over 16 million meals and meal equivalents each school year with an average total of 94,500 (29,000 breakfast and 65,500 lunches), and 3,200 after school snacks meals per day. In addition, during school year 2018-2019 we implamented Supper After School (SAS) where we served 4,348 supper meals. During the summer, we provide meals for DeKalb County Schools, totaling more than 285,000 meals (121,000 breakfast and 164,000 lunches) in addition meals for DeKalb Parks and Recreation programs. We also provide catering for special functions for DeKalb County Schools.
