In a world of uncertainty and challenges DeKalb County School Nutrition Services (SNS), Frontline Food Service workers, have exceeded our bar of excellence and have achieved perfect attendance during the first two months of this School Year.

School Year 2021-2022 began with staff shortages, supply chain challenges, menu adjustments due to product changes, and service accommodations to keep our students and employees healthy.

School Nutrition Services (SNS) offers nutritious meals to over 92,425 students daily. SNS implemented an employee recognition program at the beginning of this school year. It was developed to motivate employees to come to work regularly and to build employee morale. Each school must receive 100% attendance for every employee to be eligible to participate in the Attendance Recognition Program. Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of all SNS employees. The objective is to ensure adequate staffing, positive employee morale, and to meet productivity standards. Employees are held accountable for adhering to their workplace schedule. Despite constantly changing work environments, twenty School Nutrition Teams were acknowledged for their dedication and excellence for perfect attendance. Participants received certificates and other prizes.
