Each year, the “Freebots” robotics team is required to complete an extensive research project that includes gaining data from real world experts; coincidently, this year’s theme hydrodynamics.

A GoFundMe account has been created to consolidate donations for the trip. The team is made up of nine students, one coach, and one assistant coach.

The Freebots Robotics team would like to arrive in Flint on Nov. 28, and return on Nov. 29. Due to the ages of the students, the school would also like to purchase 10 tickets for parents to travel. In total, 22 non-stop airline tickets to Flint, accommodations for one night, and a van rental are needed.

This once in a lifetime experience will be beneficial for the students because they will be using the skills and information they have learned to make an impact not only in Flint, but in areas affected by natural disasters like Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Houston.
