We are excited to celebrate a new Student And Family Engagement (S.A.F.E.) Center in the district. Thank you to everyone who worked to establish the Redan High School S.A.F.E. Center. This is the fifth S.A.F.E. Center the district has established, following Cross Keys High School, Dr. Ronald E. McNair High School, Stone Mountain High School, and Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr. High School. These centers give our students and their families many opportunities to advance further in life. Thank you to our partners for their continued investments in our school communities.
Georgia Scholars
Congratulations to eight of our high school seniors who were named Georgia Scholars for 2024! They have exceeded expectations both in the classroom and across the DeKalb County community, setting a remarkable precedent for themselves and future generations to follow. GaDOE honors high school seniors who have demonstrated excellence in academics, extracurricular activities, community involvement, and home life through the Georgia Scholar program. Registration is now open for the FLEX Academy summer programs. FLEX Academy offers students an opportunity to recover credit in high school courses previously attempted. Courses will follow the DCSD CAAGs. Students will attend synchronous and asynchronous sessions with Flex teachers.
