The Summer Transition Program (STP) is an intensive full day academic program for rising Kindergartners who are identified as needing additional academic support by their teacher or other data. Smaller class sizes, targeted instruction, and review of missed GELDS/skill development are revisited. In addition, a STP coach is provided for each site that works with families to build relationships that support family wellbeing, strong relationships, and ongoing learning and development. The transition coach is required to conduct a minimum of one family workshop or engagement activity per week. Weekly field trips both in house and locally around Atlanta occur with chaperones to enhance the instructional program.
