Destiny Daniel of Tucker Middle School was among a handful of Career and Technical Student Organization students statewide honored by Richard Woods, state superintendent of schools, for achievements in that area.

Destiny is a member of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). She was recognized for earning a perfect score of 100 in the organization’s Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR)
advocacy event titled “Say Something” when it comes to witnessing child abuse. Individual participants are judged on skill development and the application of learning.

Christine Mayfield, Tucker Middle School family and consumer sciences teacher and FCCLA Master Adviser, says Destiny brought poise, intelligence, kindness, guidance, leadership, and star power as president of the school chapter of FCCLA.
