Congratulations to the winners of the 2020 DeKalb County School District Student Film Festival

two dcsd student film festival winnersStudents from 15 DCSD high schools presented their films during the festival held at AMC North DeKalb Theater on Feb. 19. The students wrote scripts, hired actors, designed sets, mixed sound, and shot scenes—all to produce the best short film possible.

This year’s winners received honors in novice and advanced categories. The films were judged by professionals from the film industry. Below are this year’s winners.

Novice

  • Best Editing: “The Venus Video Project” – Arabia Mountain High School
  • Best Sound: “The Venus Video Project” – Arabia Mountain High School
  • Best of Show: “Dear Delilah” – Arabia Mountain High School
  • Audience Choice: “Dear Abby”- Dunwoody High School
