Governor’s Office of Student Achievement Recognizes Schools’ CCRPI Score.

STONE MOUNTAIN, GA. Sixty-one schools in the DeKalb County School District (DCSD) scored higher on the 2017 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) than similar schools across Georgia.

‘Beating the Odds,’ is a statistical analysis that compares a school’s actual performance on the CCRPI with the performance of similar schools across Georgia. Schools that perform higher are considered ‘Beating the Odds.’ The calculation includes the percentage of economically disadvantaged students, English language learners, students with disabilities, and students in each race/ethnicity; school size; student mobility; school type.

“Nearly half of DCSD schools made this year’s list, which is a testament to the proven progress of our students. This success represents the hard work of our teachers, staff, and families,” said Superintendent/CEO R. Stephen Green. “We are pleased to celebrate this victory while being mindful that much work remains. As our schools make progress, we will continually raise our expectations. This is not the finish line; it’s just the beginning.”
