FLEX Beyond the Day
FLEX Beyond the Day is a DeKalb County School District virtual learning program that provides high school students with the opportunity to earn initial credit through structured online coursework completed outside of the traditional school day. Courses are delivered through the district's learning management system and are supported by Georgia-certified teachers who provide academic support, progress monitoring, and ongoing communication with students. Students enroll in one 0.5 Carnegie Unit (CU) course at a time and complete the course on an accelerated six-week schedule. Coursework is standards-based, aligned to district curriculum and state graduation requirements, and includes lessons, assignments, assessments, and clearly defined pacing expectations. Students are expected to actively engage in learning, meet established deadlines, and communicate regularly with their teacher to ensure successful course completion.
