• Goal

  • Fill the needs of the district’s substitute staffing pool with highly qualified candidates who will support and enhance the district’s workforce and assist in our goal to achieve our vision “to inspire our community of learners to achieve educational excellence”

• Objectives

  • Coordinate all personnel functions related to recruitment, training, hiring, managing, and maintaining the district substitute staffing pool
  • Ensure designated DCSD campus and administrative personnel have sufficient knowledge of and access to Human Resources software systems and related technology

• Responsibilities

  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee recruitment, selection, assignment, supervision, and evaluation of district substitute pools
  • Analyze fill rate reports for long term absences
  • Coordinate and provide training to all users (administrators, employees, and substitutes) on the Human Resources software systems relevant to substitute assignments
  • Create and maintain Substitute Handbooks and Campus User Guides
