The Chief of Staff supports the Superintendent with management of day-to-day operations for the District and serves as a connector across the District for improved student outcomes. Departments that fall under the Chief of Staff Division are:
The Division embeds the core values of our district, in all aspects of our work and plays an instrumental role in reaching improved student success and achievement. A little about our departments:
Public Safety protects our district! They’re a law enforcement agency of certified police officers and security staff trained to reduce school violence in partnership with the school community by informing students on the dangers of substance abuse, introducing programs that will promote and enhance acceptable social behaviors, and by serving as positive role models.
The Board of Education keeps us honest! They govern and oversee the management of our public schools. It synchronizes the collective knowledge and skills of our individual Board Members into an effective and efficient decision-making tool to improve student performance and fiscal management.
Internal Audits & Compliance enhances our efficiencies! They bring a systemic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and business processes to schools, centers, and departments.
Organizational Effectiveness ensures that we are aligned! They measure the effectiveness of programs and priorities outlined in the District’s Strategic Plan, liaising between division leadership and stakeholders to understand the needs and opportunities for district improvement.
