The Climate Improvement Project is dedicated to ensuring that every school provides a welcoming, inspiring, and inclusive environment that fosters student success. This initiative focuses on enhancing school interiors and exteriors to create spaces that reflect school pride, safety, and a strong sense of belonging. By improving cleanliness, lighting, visual displays, and overall aesthetics, the project aims to cultivate an atmosphere that encourages student engagement and a sustained desire for learning.

Through collaborative walkthroughs and targeted improvements, schools receive tailored support to address their specific needs, whether minor enhancements or major renovations. By investing in the school climate, we empower students and staff to take pride in their learning environment, ultimately boosting morale, attendance, and academic performance.

The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Advocates program supports students by strengthening the connection between schools, families, and the community. FACE Advocates work directly with students who may need additional academic, behavioral, or social-emotional support, ensuring they have access to the resources and encouragement necessary for success. By fostering meaningful relationships, FACE Advocates help improve student attendance, engagement, and overall achievement.

Leader in Me, a FranklinCovey program, equips students with essential leadership and life skills based on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. This program empowers students to take ownership of their learning, build confidence, and develop habits that lead to personal and academic success. By integrating leadership principles into the school culture, Leader in Me helps create a positive learning environment where students recognize their potential and take charge of their future.

MBK & OSK are mentoring initiatives designed to support young men and women by providing guidance, encouragement, and access to opportunities that promote personal growth and academic success. These programs connect students with mentors from various backgrounds, including educators, professionals, and community leaders, who help them develop essential skills, navigate challenges, and prepare for post-secondary success.

The Districtwide Mentoring Program is a comprehensive initiative that ensures students across the district have access to structured mentorship experiences. Schools have the flexibility to implement mentoring in a way that best fits their students’ needs while aligning with the district’s mentoring framework. Each participating school serves at least 50 students, providing them with consistent mentorship focused on character development, leadership, and academic achievement.

The Community and Corporate Mentorships initiative bridges the gap between education and industry by pairing students with mentors from local businesses, corporations, and community organizations. These mentorships provide students with career exposure, professional guidance, and real-world learning experiences that prepare them for college, careers, and life beyond school. Through job shadowing, internships, and industry insights, students gain practical skills and a clearer vision for their future.
