Committee applicants will be selected by a team of DeKalb County School District staff. The team will review applications anonymously (applicants names will be removed) and rate their responses based on a rubric.
During the 2024—2025 School Year, there were four committees that met three times as a committee of the whole:
- North (Dunwoody, Chamblee, Cross Keys, and Lakeside Clusters)
- Central (Druid Hills, Clarkston, Tucker, and St. Mountain Clusters)
- Southwest (Cedar Grove, Columbia, McNair, Towers, and Southwest DeKalb Clusters)
- Southeast (Lithonia, Martin Luther King Jr., Miller Grove, Redan, and Stephenson Clusters)
For the 2025—2026 School Year, teams have representatives from multiple Board Districts (based on high school):

SAP will take into account all stakeholders’ voices. We will not create recommendations based on the loudest voices.
Committees will use DCSD data, community and stakeholder feedback, and a decision-making tool to produce recommendations to boundaries, programs, and buildings.
