Transfer & Returning Students

Parents/Guardians must contact the child’s school to begin the transfer process. Contact information is available on each school’s website.

Transfer Students - Students transferring from one DeKalb County School District (DCSD) school to another are considered transfer students. Parents/Guardians must complete the Annual Verification Application in the Parent Portal before withdrawing the student. After the application is submitted, they should contact the current school to begin the transfer process.

Returning Students - Returning students are those who previously attended a DCSD school. If the student attended any DCSD school during the current or previous school year, parents should contact the school to begin the enrollment process. If the student did not attend a DCSD school during the current or previous school year, a New Student Registration Application must be completed.
