Forty unanswered points by the Class 3A No. 1 ranked Cedar Grove Saints led to a 40-6 high school football victory over the defending Class 7A state champions Collins Hill Eagles in Suwanee on Friday night.

An early turnover set up the home team for a quick score on a 24-yard touchdown pass from Mikey Sheehann to Isaiah Richards for an early 6-0 lead, but the Saints responded by scoring 40 unanswered points on the way to big win.

Smith sent the Saints to the locker room at the half with his second touchdown run, this time from 34 yards out, to push the advantage to 26-6. Forte tacked on the PAT.

The Saints (3-0) opened up the second half with an 80-yard drive capped off by a three-yard touchdown pass from Colson to Devin Carter. Forte’s PAT made it 33-6 heading into the fourth quarter.
