The DeKalb Silver Streaks hosted the Adapted Sports Handball State Tournament last weekend at the DeKalb School of the Arts Elementary School and finished as the Georgia State runners-up.

A 4-2 regular season finish put the Silver Streaks in as the No. 2 seed and played the West Georgia Wolverines (2-3) in the state semifinals and came away with their third win over the Wolverines with a 9-4 victory to advance to the championship round against Houston.

Houston had defeated the Clayton Eagles in its semifinal match and followed up with a 9-2 win over the Silver Streaks to claim the state championship.

Houston owned wins of 7-6 and 12-6 over the Silver Streaks which accounted for all the DeKalb team’s regular season losses.
