Six home games and five away games are on tap this weekend for DeKalb County football teams as No. 1 ranked Cedar Grove opens the week with a Region 5-3A contest against rival Westminster on Thursday at Buck Godfrey Stadium.

The Saints (4-0, 3-0) are coming off a bye week as they entertain the Wildcats (4-2, 2-2) at 7:00 pm. Cedar Grove knocked of then No. 5 Greater Atlanta Christian 33-6 in a big road test in Region 5-3A two weeks ago.

Rashod Dubinion lead the attack with 16 carries for 178 yards and four touchdowns. The defense was led by defensive lineman Malachi Madison (9 tackles, 1 sack, 2 TFL) and linebacker Everet Roussaw (7 tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL).

Westminster is coming off a 34-8 Region 5-3A win over Redan rolling up almost 400 yards of offense with 207 coming through the air.

The No. 4 ranked Stephenson Jaguars (4-0, 3-0) go on the road, but still in DeKalb County as they travel to take on the No. 1 ranked Marist War Eagles (5-0, 3-0) on Friday in a battle of Top 10 teams. Stephenson is coming off a 15-7 win over Mays while Marist defeated Arabia Mountain 33-3. The Jaguars have given up just one touchdown on defense so far this season.

The Lithonia Bulldogs (1-4, 1-3) faces off with the Stone Mountain Pirates (1-4, 0-4) at Adams Stadium on Friday with the Bulldogs needing a win to stay in the Region 5-5A playoff hunt. Lithonia is coming off a 28-20 victory over Northview while Stone Mountain is coming off a 41-0 loss to Southwest DeKalb last Saturday.

Quarterback Savion Lawson is coming off his best game of the year hitting on nine of 12 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Styland Scott had five catches for 123 yards and a touchdown while Khalil Roach had 3 for 83 and a touchdown. Running back D’Vonte Slayton rushed for 101 yards on 22 carries.

He has two interceptions for touchdowns on defense as well. His main target on offense is receiver Donsay Brown (13 catches, 187 yards, 2 TDs) who has also filled in at quarterback (145 yards passing, 1 TD; 312 yards rushing, 3 TDs) along with Saquan Bailey (11 receptions, 189 yards, 2 TDs).

A Region 6-2A game is scheduled for 7:30 pm on Friday at Hallford Stadium as the Columbia Eagles (3-1, 3-1) face off with the No. 6 ranked Lovett Lions (5-2, 5-1). Columbia ended up with a bye week due to their game with KIPP Atlanta being postponed due to a Covid-19 situation at KIPP.

The Eagles are led by sophomore running back Royce Tolbert (33 carries, 393 yards, 5 TDs), sophomore quarterback Eli Morgan (52-35-3, 445, 3 TDs passing) and receivers senior Caleb Fisher (9 receptions, 151 yards) and freshman Jaden Baugh (9 receptions, 126 yards, 2 TDs)
