On a night when several games were postponed Druid Hills was able to finish off a come-from-behind 14-7 win over the Towers Titans at Avondale Stadium on Friday night.

Towers (1-3) took an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter as the Red Devils (2-2) struggled for most of the first half against the Towers defense.

Druid Hills scored just before half to knot the game at 7-7 going into the break on Max Nunnally run.

The game remained tied until about seven minutes to play when the Red Devils’ Paul George punched it in to go up 14-7. Nunnally was good on both extra point tries.

Towers was held scoreless over the final seven minutes as the Red Devils held on for their second victory of the season.

Dunwoody 21, Cambridge 19
The Dunwoody Wildcats got their Region 7-6A season off to a quick start with a 21-19 victory over the Cambridge Bears after having the game postponed from Friday night to Saturday due to storms in the Atlanta area.

Dunwoody (2-1, 1-0) jumped out to a 21-6 lead on Cambridge and held off a late rally for the 21-19 victory.

The lead was aided by quarterback Davis Ledoyen as he hit on 29 of 43 passes for 333 yards and two touchdowns. Tyler Eith (14 receptions, 213 yards) was the recipient of one touchdown pass from Ledoyen and David Julian (3 receptions, 42 yards) had the other score.

Cevon Mitchell added a rushing touchdown for the Wildcats and Jackson Moore was 3-3 on extra points.

The defense was led once again by Isaac Anderson with 13 total tackles and a sack. Grants Jones added an interception.

SW DeKalb 46, Redan 6
The Southwest DeKalb Panthers jumped out to a 34-0 lead while cruising to a 46-6 win over DeKalb rivals Redan Raiders (2-2) on Friday at Godfrey Stadium.

Southwest DeKalb (3-1) jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the first quarter and blew open the game to start the second half. Tommy Wright opened the second half with a 70-yard kickoff return. The Panthers scored again with 9:34 left in the third quarter to take the 34-0 lead.

Both teams would score before the end of the third quarter to make it a 40-6 game heading into the fourth quarter where the Panthers would add a final score. Mekhi Gilstrap finished with nine carries for 151 yards and three touchdowns for the Panthers.

Two games were postponed to Monday due to the storms. Tucker (0-2) was leading 17-0 over Forest Park (0-2) at the half at Adams Stadium when the game was suspended. The two teams will meet at 6:00 pm on Monday night at Adams Stadium.

Duluth (0-3) was leading Lakeside (0-2) 14-0 in the first quarter at North DeKalb Stadium when the game was halted. The game resumes on Monday at 7:00 pm at North DeKalb.
