Eian Scott rushed for 212 yards to lead the Southwest DeKalb Panthers to a 41-0 victory over the Redan Raiders at Godfrey Stadium on Friday night.

Southwest DeKalb (4-0) rushed for 394 yards and five touchdowns while holding the Raiders (0-4) to just 116 yards of total offense in the game.

Scott who had 153 yards in his last two games exploded for three touchdowns and the 212 yards to account for over half of the No. 10 Panthers’ rushing attack on the night.

Jamel Starks struck for 119 yards rushing and a touchdown in the Southwest DeKalb win. Janiran Bonner added a 37-yard touchdown reception from Sadir Ryan.

Southwest now leads the series with Redan 33-2 which is the most played rivalry for the two programs.

McEachern 24, Cedar Grove 17
The Class 3A No. 2 ranked Cedar Grove Saints went toe-to-toe with the Class 7A No. 10 ranked McEachern Indians before having a fourth and goal pass go incomplete in a 24-17 road loss.

Robert Jones struck early for the Saints with a 47-yard touchdown run to put his team up 7-0 only to have the Indians return the ensuing kickoff 99 yards to knot the game at 7-7.

Oral Ashe’s 36-yard field goal made it 10-7 in favor of the Saints (3-1) with just 1:36 left in the first half. McEachern (2-1) answered with 10 quick points before the half to go up 17-10 at the break.

Jadon Haselwood truck on defense for the Saints returning an interception 61 yards to knot the game at 17-17 in the third quarter. McEachern again answered as a 70-yard touchdown pass gave the Indians a 24-17 lead.

Cedar Grove put together a 59-yard drive down to the McEachern two-yard line with under four minutes to play, but a fourth and goal pass went incomplete as the Indian held on for the win.

Duluth 23, Lakeside 14
Home-standing Duluth rallied in the second half to knock off the Lakeside Vikings 23-14 in a non-region contest for the two teams on Friday night.

The Vikings (1-2) had come back from an early 7-0 deficit to take a 14-7 lead into the half on a Trey Goodman to Darius Neason touchdown pass play and a 55-yard touchdown run by Peter Mulbah.

Duluth (2-2) knotted the game at 14-14 in the third quarter and early in the fourth returned an interception 35 yards to a 21-14 lead before getting a safety to seal the game.

Cambridge 16, Dunwoody 14
The Dunwoody Wildcats dominated Cambridge holding their Region 7-6A opponent to just 66 yards of offense before falling victim to a second half field goal to drop a heartbreaking 16-14 game in region play.

The Wildcats got a 209-yard passing, two touchdown performance from quarterback Davis Ledoyen in the loss. Ledoyen teamed up with Walt Anders (4 receptions, 89 yards) and Tyler Eith (5 receptions, 58 yards) on the touchdown passes.

Dunwoody fell to 1-2 on the season and 0-1 in region play.

Druid Hills 20, Towers 12
The Druid Hills Red Devils picked up their second win of the season by pulling away from a 6-6 tie at the half for a 20-12 win over DeKalb rival Towers Titans on Friday night at Adams Stadium.

Towers (0-4) had won the last meeting between the two DeKalb schools 18-0 back in 2009 to take a 9-6 lead in the series. The Druid Hills win pulled the Red Devils (2-1) within 9-7.

Riverdale 12, Miller Grove 8
Riverdale pulled out a 12-8 win over the Miller Grove Wolverines in a game that all 20 points were scored in the fourth quarter at Godfrey Stadium on Friday night.

The two teams had battled to a 0-0 tie after three quarters when Riverdale (3-1) struck for a pair of scores to go up 12-0. The Wolverines (1-2) tried to rally but could get no closer than the 12-8 final.
