Clarkston running back Charles Ash and his Angora teammates are coming off a 34-0 win over South Atlanta last week. They take on Druid Hills in a 5:15 pm game at Adams Stadium on Friday.

Seven region games are on tap for DeKalb County teams this weekend with the highly contested McNair Mustangs and Towers Titans rivalry one of the highlights from Region 4-3A.

The Mustangs (2-1) and Titans (1-2) meet for the 16th time in the rivalry in a 5:15 pm kickoff at Godfrey Stadium with McNair holding an 8-7 advantage despite a 24-7 win by Towers last fall.
McNair is coming off a tough 8-0 loss to Therrell last weekend. The Mustangs are led by freshman Javon Yearby and sophomore Andre Harris who combined for 329 yards rushing and three touchdowns in McNair’s two wins this season.
Senior defensive end Terrance Randle and freshman defensive lineman Shannon Duckworth both had two sacks over the first two games.
Towers is coming off a bye week after dropping games to Banneker (12-24) and North Springs (7-21). Senior linebackers Jamerson Chester (30 tackles, 4 for loss) and Antonio Wilson (25 tackles, 6 for loss) lead the Titans on defense.
Quarterback Terry Dennis has thrown for 443 yards and 4 touchdowns while rushing for 145 yards and 3 more touchdowns to lead the offense. David Mangino has 13 receptions for 242 yards and 2 touchdowns.
In other Region 4-3A action No. 3 ranked Cedar Grove (3-0) hosts Lovett (1-2) at Godfrey Stadium following the McNair-Towers rivalry while Stone Mountain (1-2) hosts Pace Academy (0-2) at Hallford Stadium in a 5:15 pm game and Redan (1-2) travels to Westminster (0-3) at 7:30 pm.
The Class 6A No. 1 ranked Tucker Tigers (2-1) open Region 4-6A play by hosting Jonesboro (2-2) at 8:00 pm at Adams Stadium on Friday. It is Tucker’s first region contest while Jonesboro has one region victory under its belt.
Stephenson (1-2) plays host to Lovejoy (2-2) at 8:00 pm in Hallford Stadium in the Jaguars’ first region contest. Lovejoy already has one region victory to its credit coming into the game.
Coach Deante Lamar’s Martin Luther King Jr. Lions team hosts Mundy’s Mill (0-3) at 7:30 pm on Saturday at Godfrey Stadium in the only Saturday in DeKalb. The Lions (1-2) are coming off a bye week and hope to keep the momentum of its 19-13 win over Miller Grove two weeks.
