Georgia high school football teams are being allowed to scrimmage against other schools this spring and 12 DCSD teams are going to take advantage of facing an opponent to end spring drills.

Redan versus Druid Hills and Martin Luther King Jr. against McNair face off in all-DeKalb scrimmages. M.L. King and McNair play at M.L. King on Friday, May 19 at 5:30 pm while Redan and Druid Hills meet on Saturday, May 13 at 6:00 pm on the field at Godfrey Stadium.

Eight other DCSD teams face non-DeKalb opponents with Dunwoody hosting Berkmar at 7:30 pm on Friday, May 19 at Adams Stadium being the only one played in DeKalb County.

A big matchup in the spring schedule has Class 6A runner-up Tucker traveling to Gwinnett County on Friday, May 19 to take on Class 7A state champ Grayson in a 7:30 pm tilt at Grayson.

Another interesting meeting pits Class 3A state champ Cedar Grove against Class 7A semifinalist on Thursday, May 18 at 7:00 pm at Westlake.

In other games outside DeKalb County, Arabia Mountain/Grady (May 19, 6:00 pm, Grady Stadium), Chamblee/Banneker (May 19, 6:00 pm, Banneker), Columbia/Morrow (May 12, 5:00 pm, Lithia Springs), Lakeside/Jefferson (May 12, 7:30 pm, Jefferson) and Stephenson/South Gwinnett (May 19, 7:00 pm, South Gwinnett).

Miller Grove highlights three inter squad scrimmages with its 2nd Annual Spring Football Kickoff Festival beginning at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 20 and includes the Purple/White scrimmage.

Clarkston’s inter squad scrimmage is set for Friday, May 12 at 5:00 pm at Hallford Stadium while Southwest DeKalb’s is scheduled for Friday, May 12 at 5:30 pm at Southwest DeKalb.

Cross Keys, Lithonia, Stone Mountain and Towers have not scheduled a scrimmage at this time.
