The 12th Trail to the Title Championship game features the first ever rematch in the history of the playoffs as Tucker (8-0) and Cedar Grove (8-0) meet Thursday, Nov. 12 at 6:00 pm at Hallford Stadium.

The game was moved to Thursday following heavy thunderstorms which forced the cancellation last Saturday.

Both teams were 8-0 entering the 2014 title game and Cedar Grove pulled out a thrilling 20-14 overtime victory over the 2013 champions Tigers.

Tucker, the Region 2 champion, enters the championship game for the third consecutive season with a perfect 8-0 record. The Tigers 27 of their last 28 games and 20 consecutive in the regular season. The lone loss was the overtime loss a year ago to Cedar Grove in the title game.

This is the fifth consecutive playoff appearance for the Tigers who had not made the playoffs before the 2011 season and had not won a playoff game until their current three consecutive runs to the title game (7-1).

Cedar Grove has won 17 consecutive games and the defending champions Saints enter the title tilt at 8-0 on the season. It is Cedar Grove’s second consecutive title appearance and third overall.

The Saints have run their playoff appearance streak to six consecutive seasons (2010-2015) and this is their 10th overall after missing in 2008-09.
