Students Continue to Make Big Gains on SAT

DeKalb County School District's students made across-the-board gains on the SAT in 2016. More than over 3,400 graduating seniors took the SAT this year, and the results were promising. Students earned an 8-point improvement, up to 459, on the Critical Reading portion of the test compared to the previous school year. English Language Students Recognized for Outstanding Academic Achievement

The Georgia Department of Education has recognized three students from Cross Keys HS, Stone Mountain HS, and Clarkston HS with the “Star English Learner” award that is given to ESOL (English to Speakers of Other Languages) students who are either valedictorian or salutatorian of their 2016 graduating class.
