The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) invites parents and caregivers of students with special needs to its Education, College and Transition Resource Fair on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Stone Mountain High School.

The theme is “Developing a Roadmap for the Future.”

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day, students with special needs and their families will receive information and support to assist with making a successful transition into adult life. Activities include:

  • Meeting with adult agencies/organizations and college/university representatives
  • Workshops on guardianship, wills and trust funds, post-secondary inclusive programs, and executive functioning
  • Meetings with vocational rehabilitation counselors
  • Career exploration and transitioning beyond high school, including Job Corps representatives

There will be door prizes, childcare for ages 4-21, and interpreters.
