Najee Smothers was the leading scorer for the Silver Streaks in their 8-4 victory over the Muscogee Lions.

The DeKalb Silver Streaks upped their 2017 AAASP Handball record to 3-0 with an 8-4 junior varsity road victory over the Muscogee Lions last weekend.

Najee Smothers (Laurel Ridge Elem.) led the scoring and combined with Farria Galloway (Stone Mountain HS) for all eight scores for the Silver Streaks.

Imani Ingram (Tucker HS) and Jamal St. Rose (Stephenson HS) were the stalwarts on defense for the Silver Streaks.

Muscogee fell to 1-1 on the season and face the Silver Streaks (Oct. 14) opponent Henry Co. Hurricanes (0-1) on Saturday. The Hurricanes fell 11-4 to the Atlanta Wolfpack last weekend.

DeKalb travels to Henry Co. on Saturday, October 14 with game time set for 11:00 am at the Locust Grove Recreation Center.
